Mr. Kyle Titmas
Instrumental Music Teacher

Mr. Titmas is an Ocean Township High School alumni. After high school, he attended Monmouth University where he earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Music and Education with a minor in Information Technology. He has also received his Master’s Degree in Music Education from The University of the Arts in July of 2019. He has been teaching full-time at OTHS since 2012 where he directs all instrumental ensembles: Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Pit Orchestra. 

Mr. Titmas loves working with all of the teachers in the Spartan School of VPA! He has been lucky to work with his colleagues in the various performances here at OTHS. Some of these include Coffeehouse, Oceanpalooza, Music In Our Schools Month, and the spring musicals. Under his direction, the OTHS bands have won several awards, including Overall Grand Champion for Marching Band in Norfolk, VA, Outstanding Jazz Band in Norfolk, VA, and a Count Basie Award for Outstanding Student/Adult Orchestra for Anything Goes. Most recently, Mr. Titmas was awarded Band Director of the Year for 2019 from the All-Shore Band Director’s Association and the Governor’s Educator of the Year for OTHS for the 2019-2020 school year.
