Welcome to the Spartan School of Visual and Performing Arts

The Spartan Schools were founded in 2017.  The mission of the school is to prepare students for a 21st century workplace by offering relevant academic subjects and linking students to the outside world and potential future career paths.

The Spartan School of Visual and Performing Arts (SSofVPA) offers a four-year program in eight different majors allowing students to explore their personal interests which can lead to professional careers in their concentration.  The eight different majors are:

  • Studio Arts (2-D & 3-D)
  • Ceramics
  • Digital Media (Computer Art & Digital Photography)
  • Instrumental Music
  • Vocal Music
  • Music Technology
  • Theatre Arts

Students develop into a cohort by attending Summer Bridge Experiences.  Through partnerships with local companies and organizations, students will participate in real-life applications through structured learning experiences.  SSofVPA students will attend events and workshops, such as Leadership Activities, Team Cohort Building and Local NJ Manufacturers Site Visits/Guest Speakers.
